COMMISSION AN ORIGINAL PIECE OF ART

 

Dream it

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to capture a treasured memory, or be transported back to your favourite place. You might want to create a family heirloom, cherish your pet, or simply make a statement in your home. Whatever your goal, I am happy to collaborate with you to bring your vision to life.

 

Create it

Commissioning an original piece of art is a highly collaborative process. I will communicate with you through each step of the process to keep you updated and make sure the artwork meets your requirements. After sharing your ideas using the contact form at the bottom of this page, I will give you an estimate of how long the commission will take to complete and tell you the price it will cost.

After discussing your ideas, I will send you a moodboard that we can both edit. Once you are happy with the concept, I will send you a digital sketch of the composition and can adjust the design to your specifications if necessary before I begin the painting or drawing.

WHAT I OFFER

  • Acrylic paintings

  • Colour pencil drawings

  • Graphite drawings

  • Mixed media pieces (e.g. gouache, ink, pencil and acrylic).

I use artist grade materials to ensure high quality and longevity. For paintings, I offer canvas panel or stretched canvas, and I use varnish to provide a stunning finish and protective layer.

All pieces can be custom framed by a local service at an extra cost if desired.

PRICING, PAYMENT & DELIVERY

Larger and smaller sizes are available, as well as other dimensions e.g. square and circle canvases.

Prices cover all the materials used, the time invested in your unique and custom order, and any editing of the design we discuss.

PAYMENT

An initial payment of £35 is requested before starting your commission. Once the digital sketch is complete and you are happy to continue, I will then request an installment of 40% of the final price before starting work on the physical piece.

I use Stripe and PayPal to accept payments in any currency.

After the drawing or painting is finished, we can proceed with the payment of the remaining 60% before shipping.

DELIVERY

When requesting your commission, keep in mind the time it takes to plan and produce your custom piece, as well as the drying time for the paint and varnish. I must make sure it is completely dry to be able to ship it to you.​

Commissions can take between 3-8 weeks (depending on the size and delivery location) from the start until you receive it.

Shipping costs will be included in your final invoice when paying the remaining installment. When discussing the price of your piece at the start of the process, I will give you a delivery cost estimation. Please consider that shipping larger pieces (dimensions exceeding 16 x 20 inches) can range from £40-£250 depending on the delivery location. Delivery will be tracked and you will receive a tracking number from me once your piece has been posted.
