Hello, I'm Amy.
I’m a visual artist based in Liverpool UK. I mainly work with acrylic paint and I specialise in wildlife and botanical art. I enjoy centering my work around nature, and I like to play with light and shadow to create an enchanting atmosphere.
I formally studied English Literarture to Masters level and originally planned to be a writer. I found myself working in Higher Education after University, but felt like my skills in art were going to waste. In March 2023 I took the plunge to take my art seriously and left my job. Now I’m working on building my art career and I’m so excited to see where this journey takes me!
In my work, I like to use colour palettes inspired by our natural world, paying close attention to the cultural, spiritual and visual significance of each hue. I’m fascinated by different interpretations of colour and how they impact artworks overall. Colour can completely transform the feeling of a space and I love how much impact a painting can have in a home.
Art can greatly influence our emotional wellbeing and I aim to make you feel inspired and uplifted when you look at my pieces. I consider my purpose fulfilled if my work brings you happiness.
